Tis’ the Reason to be vigilant…Fa la la la la, la la la la

-In light of the what happened in Paris on November 13, 2015, coupled with the every changing and evolving nature of the world we currently live in, the nature of what we do puts us in direct responsibility of protecting our clients, our family and our homes.  ISIS fundamentally espouses to the core premise of inflicting FEAR and impeding our way of life in the United States and abroad.  Their methodology in delivering FEAR, although somewhat similar to AQAP through devastation and loss of life, has one peculiar difference.  Their recruitment process and means is far more reaching and dangerous than AQAP ever was.

What is most particular about this is that even though there seems to be less of a rank structure in ISIS as there was in AQAP, their process of inspiring and implementing “pop-up” teams in our neighborhoods, cities and towns seems to be the biggest concern and danger —-> VIDEO.  Ironically there has been a surge of American Fighters leaving our country to fight ISIS abroad.  Regardless of how you feel about that, the problem still remains: What is our responsibility to combat them here.  If you are in this industry [some of this blog’s subscribers are not] WE HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY to protect.

Maintain constant vetted intel and keep your client base INFORMED on how it affects them and their company.  Even the smartest CEO’s and their C-Suite officers are so busy that they feel, “It will never be me or my company.”  Continue to show your worth and value by staying RELEVANT.  Protect your FAMILIES!  Do you have a plan for them?  If the balloon goes up and your family members are out and about, Do you have a plan?  Starting tomorrow we are about to enter upon the most celebrated holiday seasons for many and on this Friday it is the most lucrative day for retailers.  The next thirty [30] to forty-five [45] days are critical to being vigilant.  Think about what I am saying here without me saying it and STAY READY so that you don’t have to GET READY!

Couldn’t be any truer, than again, it’s not like any BS comes from BPI, just the straight in your face facts! A safe & vigilant holiday season, and beyond…to BPI, your families and all that do what we do.

True facts have been spoken. If you take anything from this it should be “Stay ready so that you don’t have to get ready”. Thanks and be safe BPI.

    Eric,

Superb article; when you fail to plan, you plant to fail. Too often stateside, we get lulled into the ‘that never happens here ‘ mindset that plagues those of us charged with serving and protecting others.

Happy Holidays & thanks for posting.

Thanks for the article. The world has changed and we must learn to adjust to this change accordingly. That means always being vigilant, be aware of your surroundings, if necessary, let people know where you are going, particularly if you are attending a large venue, such as a Sporting event, concert, etc. Report suspicious activities to your local or federal law enforcement agencies, you never know if your information is piece of a larger puzzle. Does this sound like a lot to you? Welcome to the world we now live in. God Bless America!

It’s nice to see an article on the subject of terrorism that just has practical advice, instead of the usual fear-mongering and bigotry that is so common these days.

Hope for the best, but plan for the worst.

    Thanks

I always say you should always remain vigilant. Whether there is a direct threat or no threat at all. Better to stay safe
